Familiar face from TV-show High Stakes Poker Daniel Alaei, won again the PokerStars $5.200 Freezeout tournament.

Twenty players were in playing for the $100k. For example Annette Obrestad, Danny Ryan, Sorel Mizzi and Bryn Kenney were eliminated before heads up. In the end Daniel “steamraise” Alaei faced former Sunday Million winner “tomgus456” from Finland. Alaei was leading the heads up all the way and finally he bust “tomgus456” and took $100k to his account.

Alaei has done great work in Sundays $5,2k Freezeout tournaments. He also won the very same tournament on 30th of April.

Young and famous internet player Annette Obrestad (Annette_15) has made a nice conversion also to live tournament circuit. But she still keeps on playing lots of tournaments especially at PokerStars. This time she won the PokerStars Sunday Hundred Grand with 20.000 players!

The tournament has only a buy-in of 11$ and the first prize was $20.000 – which is quite small compared to her normal winnings. But the most important thing was to beat all the other 19.999 players!

The tournament is restricted to 20.000 players and it has been full quite often.. so register early and you can be $20.000 richer also with only $11! 🙂

The internet phenom has turned into a live tournament phenom. Check out her profile: Annette Obrestad.

Here are the chipcounts and seatings for the final table:

Seat 1: Thierry van den Berg – 274,000
Seat 2: Daan Ruiter – 646,000
Seat 3: Reuben Peters – 176,000
Seat 4: Annette Obrestad – 788,000
Seat 5: Anders Pettersson – 166,000
Seat 6: Casper Hansen – 360,000
Seat 7: Tronde Eidsvig – 184,000
Seat 8: Michael Durrer – 247,000
Seat 9: Reijo Manninen – 480,000

We were hoping Sami Kelopuro (LarsLuzak) to have a strong finish in his first big live tournament but he busted out before he could make the money. Internet players running well include Annette Obrestad (Annette_15) and Johnny Lodden (bad_ip, Lars-Magne, lolmenot).

There are now 24 players left with Andy Black leading the pack (350,300), Annette_15 is at 2nd place (284,700), Johnny Lodden 5th (208,600), Noah “Exclusive” Boeken 8th (158,500) and Kristian “Pokerkong1” Kjondal 10th (144,500).

But is ScHnibLOr aka Simon Münz in the tournament? In the results we can see name Simon Munoz at 3rd place, maybe he is Münz? Can anyone confirm this?

Famous poker show Late Night Poker has started filmings last week. Some of the familiar faces are returning to play like Dave Ulliott aka. Devilfish and Marcel Luske.

This years biggest sensation 19-year-old Norwegian Annete Obrestad – the winner of WSOPE main event – will be joining the game also.

Other familiar names playing include: Andy Black, Roland de Wolfe, Jamie Gold, Surinder Sunar and Crazy Horse Ram Vaswani.
